Webmaster wanted

Precision Camera & Video is seeking an enthusiastic & well organized webmaster to develop & maintain our internet and intranet sites, and publish our monthly e-newsletter.

The webmaster is primarily responsible for the design, development, & maintenance of www.precision-camera.com . He'll need to constantly identify areas of potential growth, and design/develop the site to target those areas and maximize profit potential. The webmaster's job performance will ultimately be measured by the bottom line, and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in increasing revenue for an online e-tailer.

In addition, the webmaster will supervise the company's electronic sales coordinator, and coordinate with the company's graphic designer & upper management in developing cohesive & coordinated marketing stategies and branding across channels.

The Ideal Candidate will posses the following qualifications:

  1. At least 2 years of experience managing a midlevel (preferably e-commerce) online property, and a proven track record of increasing revenue
  2. HTML / XHTML / CSS / Javascript proficiency:
    Should be able to hand-code standards compliant SEO documents that separate style from presentation.
  3. MySQL / PHP proficiency:
    A formal education in database design and Object Oriented Design Methodologies is a big plus. Design experience with the PHP Smarty Template system helpful but not necessary. C#.NET experience helpful but not necessary.
  4. Linux / Apache proficiency
  5. Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Windows XP, and the Microsoft Office Suite
  6. Significant e-commerce experience:
    General experience with content management & shopping cart systems is necessary. Specific experience with the Miva Merchant shopping cart system is helpful but not necessary.
  7. A clean & standards compliant web aesthetic
  8. Unparalleled attention to detail & organization
  9. Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work comfortably under tight deadlines.
  10. General photography knowledge is helpful but not necessary.

About the Position:

This is a full-time (9-6 Monday – Friday) salaried position. Benefits include 401k, profit sharing, 2 weeks paid vacation, sick leave, healthcare and hospitalization insurance, and group term life insurance. We are NOT interested in Telecommuters. Salary: 30-40k / yr, depending on experience. We are looking for applicants that can start immediately .
