Ricardo Calzadilla
Primarily a fine art painter of
portraits, landscapes, abstracts, figures. I started shooting in
earnest in 1995. After paying big bucks to have my paintings
photographed in a studio, I was so disappointed that I realized I
could have almost bought a camera and done the job myself. So I went
down to Precision and bought my little old Minolta 400 si. I use a
minimum of equipment. The camera and a 3500xi wireless flash. I love
location shoots and like to improvise backdrops. I use found materials
as well as store bought fabrics. B.T.W. If you are a photographer I

Having been a painter for twenty years,
I can not say how many models I have worked with. Having the camera
and many models was a natural fit. I have been doing headshots ever
since. The camera has given me a whole new visual perspective.
Currently
I am working really hard to gain as much exposure to my site as
possible and it is paying off. I am aveaging over 2,000 hits a day. My
goal is 10,000. I love to trade links and in many cases do not expect
a reciprocal link. So if you are a photographer contact me and I will
probably add your link, the same goes for models. I am all for the
"World Wide Web" literally, and cross promotion.
