What a (fairly) long, (somewhat) strange trip its been.
I am back to taking pictures after many years hiatus.
This time, it is truly my passion.
I love learning from the good work of other photographers and
cherish my own stair step progression.
Originally from Western Pennsylvania, I spent 19 years in New
York City and environs. I have an MFA in film--moom pitchers--from
Columbia and my undergrad degree is partly in philosophy.
I now live in the Texas Hill Country, one of the most
photogenic spots in Texas, yet I gravitate more to urban discoveries.
Good thing Austin and San Antonio are close by.
Right now Im having fun with hand coloring, although you
wouldnt know that from the images Ive posted here.
Im still shooting film mostly, yet teetering on the deep end
of the digital pool.

what you see, see more on my web site, www.sherryjustus.com.
If anything strikes a chord and you must have it, contact me
and well talk. Even if
you dont want to buy, if something Ive done appeals to you
emotionally or intellectually, think about giving me a shout.
The coffees on me. And
if youre another photographer out there clicking away, let me know
if youve got a web site and would like to link. Whether youre a
buyer, a seller, an artist, or just plain folks, here are some words
to live by from the great Sir Laurence Olivier: I take a simple
view of life. Keep your
eyes open and get on with it.
My sentiments, exactly.
