Our advice: follow the manufacturers instructions very carefully--even the best of cleaning products, if misused, can harm your sensor. The surface coating on your sensor is delicate and very easily damaged. Once the surface is scratched no amount of cleaning will fix it--the end result is a repair which will likely cost hundreds of dollars.

Another option for sensor cleaning, if your camera is still under warranty from the manufacturer, is to send it to a factory authorized repair facility. Many manufacturers will provide sensor cleaning at no charge during the warranty period--just be prepared to be without your camera for up to a month or so.
