How artificial light and ambient can balance to create awesome high dynamic photos and how lens selection affects the feel and story of the photo.
Jonathan Thorpe is a photographer just outside of Washington DC. He has worked with some of the biggest companies in the world, including Mercury Records, BMW, MINI COOPER, FIAT, CBS, Huthwaith, H&M, Adidas, DEF JAM, Red Bull, G.E., Aveda, lululemon, X-Treme Shock, S -Curve Records, Re-up Gang Records, and Sony Music, and has had multiple national and international publishings, like South magazine, .Net magazine, Gothic magazine, Vegas magazine, Bounce magazine, Ocean Drive magazine, and Capital File Magazine, to name a few.
He has also photographed award winning musicians and celebrities. In addition to his photo work, Jonathan has also directed several music videos and national television spots. He is currently represented by Wonderful Machine and is sponsored by Tamron, Phottix, and Holdfast Gear. Jonathan also won the Peoples Choice Award for the 2014’s Rangefinder Portrait competition, for his picture “The Renaissance of Heather”
