Overview

The 58 AF-1C is fully compatible with all of today's digital metering systems including e-TTL 2. Metz has long been established as the premier manufacturer of handle mount flashes. The 58 AF-1 can perform seamlessly in conjunction with ALL Canon digital and film cameras even WIRELESS functionality is included. While Metz flashes have been synonymous with "upgradeability", the new 58 AF-1 Digital include a USB port for end-user upgrades. This eliminates the timely process involved with returning the flash to Bogen Imaging for upgrade. Now, when Canon introduces a change to their metering system (i.e. Canon is on version 3 of E-TTL II), a customer can simply connect their flash via the USB and download the firmware upgrade FREE!
