Overview

Take a look at the Gitzo G2380 video head and you can see it's something special. Yet, the innovative design is much more than cosmetic. It has been painstakingly developed to eliminate all unnecessary weight, while maintaining the strength, long-lasting durability, and extraordinary precision for which Gitzo heads have become famous.

Weighing a mere 3 lbs., the G2380 is perfect for location work and ideally suited for lightweight ENG cameras and DV Cams. With its fluid control, the G2380 provides exceptionally smooth pans and tilts. Friction for both pan and tilt planes is fully adjustable to perfectly match the weight of your camera. Tightening a convenient knob in the center of the friction control can also independently lock both movements.

A sliding quick-release plate also allows the camera to be easily mounted and balanced from either the front or the rear, and a built-in secondary safety catch protects the camera from accidentally sliding off the head.

With all this style and features, the G2380 goes one step further and incorporates a pan bar that converts in seconds for either right or left-hand operation. And in addition to video applications, the new video fluid head works well with still photography when controlling long lenses and creating dramatic telephoto pan effects.
