The Pelican 1506TSA Lock is a 3-digit combination lock that is TSA approved; you'll no longer have to leave your checked luggage unprotected with this lock, because the TSA baggage screeners have special codes and tools which unlock it.  They are to relock them after inspection, and a red inspection status collar appears from the bottom of the shackle if the baggage screeners have opened your lock.  While designed for Pelican cases, this lock obviously will work with many other cases.
