The V600 / V600D Power Pack is appreciated by the most demanding professional. Like it's predecessors, the V600 is rapidly becoming a standard in the finest wedding, portrait, and higher quality commercial studios in North America. The V600 provides variable power up to 600 watt-seconds.
All V600 power packs manufactured since September 2001 are digital ready ("V600D") and have higher powered modeling lamp support. "D" units have enhanced lower voltage camera sync circuitry that makes them compatible with most digital cameras currently on the market.
These packs also have a second circuit breaker dedicated to the modeling lamps and are designated as Series II. This second breaker allows these units to handle up to 250 watt modeling lamps for fan-cooled flash heads (1000 watts total modeling lamp power per unit). These units can be identified by the second breaker mounted on the side panel of the box and by a label on the bottom.
