Fashion Editorial Street Shoot
with Todd White

Learn creative outdoor portrait photography techniques using both available light and off-camera flash. This class covers key topics to help you shoot better unique outdoor shots that dive more into editorial style than traditional portraits. You’ll study light and practice shooting with a professional model, even in harsh daylight.

Audience

This class is targeted for beginner to advanced photographers who would like to improve their outdoor portrait photography. Students should bring their camera and lenses as they will be photographing a professional model during the workshop.

Objective

This workshop serves as a great starting point for those seeking to create more compelling and creative outdoor portraits using both available light and off-camera flash. Students will work with a professional model and leave the class with greater insight into the necessary elements to create compelling portrait editorial photography.

This is simply the meeting point, class will walk around nearby.

Schedule and Format

This class consists of outdoor lecture, demonstration and practice. Students will see the instructor demonstrate techniques then students will photograph a professional model using what they’ve learned. The instructor will provide continuing feedback to students during the workshop to help improve their results. A non-commercial model release will be provided as part of this class.

• DSLR or Mirrorless camera with charged batteries
• Clear Memory Cards
• Any and all lenses you hope to use
• Off-camera flash equipment

About the Instructor

Todd White specializes in fashion, commercial and portrait photography and videography. He is a LUMIX Global Ambassador and a Saramonic Ambassador. His client list includes Facebook, Pinterest, The Alamo, Neiman Marcus and various fashion designers. Todd has photographed with many country music artists including Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and George Strait. His commercial work has been published in Vogue, British Vogue, Elle, People, the Wall Street Journal as well as other publications. He is an Emmy award-winning Producer and Videographer for the Daytripper TV show on PBS. Todd is an instructor at Precision Camera and Video in Austin, TX.

Class Cancellations

Tier 1: Standard Classes
You can cancel a class registration up to two business days before the class begins and receive a full refund for standard classes. If you register for a tier 1 class and do not show up, your payment will be forfeited. You may reschedule a class only if notice is given before the start time of the class. Unless otherwise stated, class refunds are only issued to customers that provide notice to the store that they would like a refund no later than two business days prior to the class. Refunds will not be issued to customers who sign up for a class but fail to attend.

Minimum Enrollment
Each class needs a minimum number of students to enroll before the class can “make.” If the minimum enrollment has not been met two business days before the class begins, the class will be cancelled. All students who enrolled in the class will be notified by telephone or email, and may transfer to a different class or be issued a refund (see refund procedure). We encourage all students to enroll as soon as registration begins. Please check your phone and email messages, including your SPAM.

How to Reschedule or Cancel a Class
Please contact the store at 512-467-7676 or email classes@precision-camera.com to cancel a class. Class cancellations or requests to be rescheduled that are sent through other channels, such as Facebook or Meetup.com messages, will not be honored.
