“Analog Love” A film photography mixer
This Valentine's season we celebrate our love of film and invite you to join us for a visually rich Valentine’s Day-themed photoshoot, games, gallery exhibition, and discounts on film related products and services. Open to enthusiasts and professionals of all skill sets, bring your FILM cameras and get ready to have some fun in a space for practice, portfolio building, and networking.
*We will be using constant lighting with our setups but on-camera flash is acceptable/encouraged but don’t worry if you don’t use flash, it’s not necessary!
*We advise using a 400 speed film stock or higher if not using flash. Come with options!

Setup One: an homage to Vegas weddings and kitchy charm, this setup will feature pastel colors, florals, cake and treats, and an array of hearts to encompass our “bride” and “groom” to be, equally styled to pastel perfection.
Setup Two: Elegant and subdued, this setup will feature a striking backdrop of red with atmospheric lighting to emulate romance and mood, perfect for portraiture practice!
“Metering for Exposure” : Garner new friendships by answering film and photography related questions to get to know others in the Austin community with this twist on speed-dating.
“The Lovebird Special”: Get Ultra High Scans with free development for up to two rolls of film! Complete a roll of film at the meetup? We will offer rush development/scanning for C-41 PROCESS rolls of film used during the event.
“The Romantics”- a gallery exhibition of analog photography showcasing love and romance. From portraiture, still life, to the abstract- we want to see the theme from your perspective, as long as it is captured on film!
Opening reception is during the mixer. Entrants on display will receive free entry to the mixer and a plus one!
