Birds of Prey Photography Experience
Join Precision Camera for a photography session with various Birds of Prey (and other meat-eating birds). This will be a great opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of native raptors — all while learning about their habitat and behavior. During this photo experience you will get a chance to photograph the birds from a distance and up close with the help of an expert. The day will start with a short classroom/lecture session covering bird photography basics. The remainder of the time will be spent photographing the birds in a studio setting.
Please read details of the location and schedule below.
Since we will be able to be very close to the birds, any lens from portrait length (70mm on Full frame, 50mm on Crop) to telephoto (200mm+) is usable. A 70-200mm, 24-105mm, 55-200mm or similar are great all around options. Longer telephotos like a 200-500mm will also be helpful for isolating the bird against the background.
Audience
This class is suitable for photographers of all skill levels. The “classroom/lecture” portion will cover the basics of what you need to know to get good photos of the birds.
Location
This class will be held indoors at the Precision Camera Studio.
Schedule and Format
The class will start with a short introduction covering bird photography. We will spend the majority of the two hours with the birds, learning about and photographing them up close.
