Combining a huge field of view with distinct fisheye rendering, the Canon RF 7-14mm f/2.8-3.5 L Fisheye STM is an ultra-wide zoom for creating striking, dynamic photos and videos. The first fisheye lens for the RF series, this lens brings an immensely wide 190° angle of view, both circular and diagonal coverage depending on focal length and format, and a host of convenient new design details for working with the unique lens.
Distinct Field of View
Fisheye Rendering and Image Quality
- Ultra-wide-angle fisheye rendering with strong distortion, ideal for action sports, landscapes, nature, underwater, astrophotography, and architecture.
- Optical design includes five ultra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements for high color accuracy and sharpness.
- Air Sphere (ASC) and Super Spectra (SSC) coatings reduce flare and ghosting for improved contrast.
Zoom Design
- At 7mm on full-frame: fully circular fisheye with 190° angle of view.
- At 14mm on full-frame: diagonal, frame-filling fisheye with 180° angle of view.
- APS-C cameras feature a “C” position around 8.7mm where vignetting disappears and full sensor coverage is achieved.
- Between 7mm and 8.7mm on APS-C, circular images show significant vignetting.
Close-Focus Creativity
- Minimum focusing distance of 5.9" with a working distance of about 2" from the lens front.
- Close-up shooting exaggerates shapes and textures while retaining curved background detail.

- Immense depth of field and distortion suited for creative video work.
- Rear drop-in filter compatibility, including Canon variable ND filters.
- Virtually no focus breathing thanks to rear focus design.

- Includes removable EW-76 petal hood; total length 5.2" with hood.
- Hood cannot be reverse-mounted.
- Vignetting appears below 14mm on full-frame when hood is attached; APS-C is clear from 8.7-14mm.
