Used Rolleiflex 3.5F TLR Medium Format Film Camera
The Rolleiflex 3.5F is the pinnacle of Rollei's legendary 3.5 series — refined over decades and produced from 1958 through the mid-1970s, it represents the most fully realized version of the TLR format. Favored by icons like Diane Arbus, Vivian Maier, and Richard Avedon, it's a camera with serious photographic pedigree and a devoted following that has only grown with the film revival. It shoots 12 square 6×6cm frames on 120 roll film, delivering the tonal richness, depth, and rendering quality that medium format is known for — in a body that's remarkably compact and quiet for the format.
The 3.5F is fitted with a 75mm f/3.5 taking lens — either a Carl Zeiss Planar or Schneider-Kreuznach Xenotar, both highly regarded — paired with a Heidosmat f/2.8 viewing lens for a bright, accurate waist-level focus experience. The Synchro-Compur MXV leaf shutter covers 1 second to 1/500 sec plus Bulb, syncs with flash at all speeds, and runs entirely on mechanical power. The 3.5F added a coupled selenium light meter over earlier models, though the camera operates fully without a working meter. Automat film loading, an all-metal build, bayonet-mount filter system (Bay II), and a depth-of-field scale coupled to the focus knob round out a camera that remains as capable today as it was when it left the factory.
