Used Sony FE 16-25mm f/2.8 G Lens

The Sony FE 16-25mm f/2.8 G is a compact, lightweight wide-angle zoom designed for Sony's full-frame E-mount mirrorless system, introduced in 2024 as a travel-friendly companion to the FE 24-50mm f/2.8 G. It's built for photographers and videographers who want a fast wide-angle without the bulk or price of the flagship GM II — making it an excellent fit for landscape, architecture, travel, and event work, particularly on flat-bodied systems like the A7C series. The constant f/2.8 aperture across the full zoom range delivers genuine versatility in low light without compromise.

Optically, the lens features 16 elements in 13 groups including three ED elements, three aspherical elements, and one ED Aspherical element to control chromatic aberration and keep the design compact. Two linear motors provide fast, precise, and near-silent autofocus — including support for up to 120 fps AF/AE tracking on compatible bodies. The 11-blade circular diaphragm produces smooth bokeh at close focus distances, and minimum focus distance comes in at just 0.18m (AF) at the 16mm end for a maximum magnification of 0.20x. Shooters get a de-clickable aperture ring, dedicated AF/MF switch, and a customizable focus hold button, all wrapped in a dust- and moisture-resistant build with a fluorine-coated front element. Filter size is 67mm with a non-rotating thread.
