The Sony FE PZ 16-35mm f/4 G is a wide-angle power zoom lens purpose-built for full-frame Sony E-mount cameras, and it's one of the most compelling options on the market for hybrid shooters who need to move fluidly between stills and video. Covering an ultra-wide 16mm all the way to 35mm with a constant f/4 aperture, it handles everything from sweeping landscapes and architecture to travel, street, and vlogging with ease. Its internally-zooming design keeps the lens balanced and compact at any focal length, making it a natural fit for gimbal work, drone mounting, or all-day handheld use — and on APS-C bodies it delivers a versatile 24-52.5mm equivalent range.

Optically, this G Lens packs a sophisticated 13-element design including two Advanced Aspherical elements, a Super ED element, an ED element, and an ED Aspherical element to keep chromatic aberration, distortion, and spherical aberration tightly controlled across the entire zoom range. The power zoom system is driven by four XD Linear Motors, delivering smooth, cinema-style zooming with variable speed control — right from the lens barrel or compatible camera body. Two additional XD Linear Motors handle autofocus, keeping it fast, quiet, and precise even at 4K 120fps. Suppressed focus breathing, a de-clickable aperture ring, dust and moisture resistance, and a fluorine front coating round out an exceptionally well-engineered package.
