Please register early, within 5 days of the start date, to reduce the likelihood of course cancellation.

Audience

This class is targeted for all levels of photographers who wish to create stunning floral photos in a home or studio setting.

Objective

We will go over the topics described above with a short lecture then get to shooting! There will be a variety of shooting stations and a wide variety of flowers from which to choose. Students will work in small groups with advice from the instructor.

Schedule and Format

This class consists of lecture, demonstration and practice. The instructor will provide a brief introductory lecture and demonstrate some fundamental approaches to floral photography. Students will then have the opportunity to photograph flowers of their choice while working in small groups. The instructor will review student work and provide suggestions for improvement.

Materials

Students need to bring their camera, lenses, memory cards and charged batteries. A sturdy tripod and remote shutter release are recommended but not necessary. Students may find this is an excellent opportunity to use a macro lens or extension tubes (not required).
