This class is held in our large classroom measuring over 1000 square feet to ensure social distancing. This class requires face masks.
Cameras, lenses, lights and modifiers are all tools that photographers use but these are NOT what makes a great beauty shot or portrait.
Great images require planning and collaboration and are the result of great problem solving. Joe will take us through a deep dive of his entire process, and he will detail how he plans and executes a shoot. Covering everything from shoot prep with both his subjects and makeup artists sharing his communication and posing techniques as well of some of his favorite beauty lighting arrangements.
He will even include some tips on how you can incorporate these types of images into your portrait business to increase profits!
- Concept development – How to build great ideas.
- The importance of Collaboration – How to build a team
- How to find, prep and communicate with models
- Best ways to find and communicate makeup artists
- Communication tips to motivate and direct your models
- Lighting Tips for great Beauty Portraits
- … and much more!
This workshop focuses on the creative process involved with making beauty and fashion portraits. Photographers should have a good understanding of manual operation of their camera and a desire to learn lighting and creative portraiture.
This is a hands-on workshop where you will be creating your own unique images. We will have a makeup artist and model and lots of props and materials to create your own bold and beautiful fashion / beauty shot.
Schedule and Format
This is a 4-hour hands-on photography workshop.
