The Nikon COOLPIX S6300 is a slim point-and-shoot camera built around a 16 megapixel CMOS sensor and a 10x optical zoom NIKKOR lens, covering a 25-250mm equivalent range. It's an easy camera to slip into a pocket or bag and have ready whenever something worth photographing comes up.
Lens-shift Vibration Reduction helps counter camera shake across the zoom range, and the camera records Full HD 1080p video alongside a handful of everyday conveniences: an Easy Panorama mode for stitching together wide 180° or 360° shots, subject tracking autofocus across up to 99 focus areas, and a solid lineup of Scene modes and in-camera filter effects for adding some variety without needing to dig into settings. Framing and playback run through a 2.7-inch LCD with anti-reflection coating, keeping the screen readable even outdoors.
