Part of NiSi's Athena Prime series — which spans 14mm through 85mm — the 35mm T1.9 brings a classic wide perspective to Sony E-mount cameras including the FX3, FX6, a7S III, and other full-frame and APS-C mirrorless bodies. The 46mm image circle provides confident full-frame coverage, and the clean, neutral rendering with strong micro-contrast makes it a solid choice for projects where color consistency across a lens set matters.
Optically, the Athena 35mm is engineered for maximum micro-contrast and ultra-low chromatic aberration, delivering sharp, detailed imagery across the full frame even wide open at T1.9. The 10-blade aperture produces smooth, natural bokeh, while the lens's focus breathing is tightly controlled — a critical quality for narrative work where cuts between focal lengths need to stay invisible.
