Used Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 II R Lens
The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 II R is a compact, retractable standard zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras, covering a 28-84mm full-frame equivalent focal range. As a collapsible "R" design, the lens retracts to a smaller stowed length when powered off and extends automatically when the camera is turned on, with a lock switch preventing accidental extension during transport. The MSC (Movie & Still Compatible) autofocus system delivers fast, near-silent focusing suited to both photo and video use, making this lens a common kit lens pairing across Olympus and Panasonic Micro Four Thirds bodies.
The optical formula uses 8 elements in 7 groups including three aspherical elements to correct distortion and spherical aberration while keeping the lens compact and lightweight. A 7-blade circular aperture diaphragm supports smooth bokeh rendering, and the lens focuses down to 0.25m at the wide end. In-camera image stabilization on compatible Olympus and OM System bodies compensates for the lens's lack of built-in stabilization. At 113g and a 37mm front filter thread, it remains one of the smallest standard zooms available for the Micro Four Thirds system.
