Used Olympus Pen E-PL8 Mirrorless Digital Camera Body
The Olympus PEN E-PL8 is a compact Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera built around a 16.1MP Live MOS sensor and the TruePic VII image processor, with 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization built into the body for up to 3.5 stops of compensation with any mounted lens. Announced in 2016 as a successor to the E-PL7, the E-PL8 carries forward the PEN line's compact, retro-styled design and adds selfie-friendly usability, with a 3.0" 1,037,000-dot touchscreen LCD that tilts 180° downward for front-facing shooting, automatically bringing up simplified touch controls when flipped into that position.
The camera offers a native ISO range of 200-25600 (expandable to 100) and supports continuous shooting up to 8.5fps with image stabilization disabled. Autofocus uses an 81-point contrast detection system with face detection, and full manual exposure control is available alongside automatic modes. Video recording tops out at Full HD 1080/30p, a modest spec even at the time of release. There is no built-in viewfinder and no provision to add one internally, though Olympus's optional VF-4 electronic viewfinder can be mounted via the hot shoe. Built-in Wi-Fi enables remote control, image transfer, and live bulb monitoring via smartphone, and the Super Sonic Wave Filter dust reduction system helps keep the sensor clean during lens changes.
