Panasonic Lumix G Vario 100-300mm f/4-5.6 Mega O.I.S. Lens

The Panasonic Lumix G Vario 100-300mm f/4-5.6 Mega O.I.S. is a telephoto zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras, delivering a 200-600mm full-frame equivalent focal range in a body compact and light enough for handheld use without a tripod. Well suited to sports, wildlife, and any subject too distant to approach closely, the lens achieves a high compression effect at full telephoto that would typically require far heavier full-frame equipment to match. Panasonic's Mega O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) system compensates for hand shake across the zoom range, a particularly important feature at longer focal lengths where blur from camera movement is magnified.

The optical formula consists of 17 elements in 12 groups, including one ED (Extra-low Dispersion) element positioned in the first lens group to suppress chromatic aberration and maintain sharp, high-contrast images throughout the zoom range. A stepping motor autofocus system paired with an internal focus drive and dedicated zoom tracking control delivers quiet, accurate, and fast focus acquisition, and a 7-blade rounded aperture diaphragm produces smooth out-of-focus rendering. The lens maintains a 1.5m minimum focus distance at all focal lengths, reaching a 0.42x maximum magnification ratio (35mm equivalent) at full telephoto. The lens mount is metal, though the lens itself carries no official weather sealing. A lens hood and cloth storage bag are included.
