Used Rokinon 35mm T1.5 AS UMC Lens for Canon EF
The Rokinon 35mm T1.5 AS UMC Cine Lens for Canon EF is a wide-angle prime built specifically for film and video production. The 35mm focal length covers full-frame sensors and delivers a 63.1° angle of view — a versatile perspective that works across a wide range of shooting situations, from wide establishing shots and environmental storytelling to medium close-ups with natural depth. On APS-C bodies, it provides a 56mm equivalent, making it a solid choice across Canon's EF-mount lineup. The T1.5 maximum aperture opens the door to low-light shooting and shallow depth-of-field work, giving cinematographers meaningful control over subject separation and bokeh character.
The optical design uses 12 elements in 10 groups, incorporating one aspherical element and two high-refractive-index elements to reduce chromatic aberration and distortion. Rokinon's Ultra Multi-Coating (UMC) is applied across the element stack to suppress flare and ghosting, resulting in contrast-rich, color-neutral images. The cine-specific build features industry-standard 0.8 MOD gearing on both the focus and aperture rings for seamless integration with follow focus systems and motor controllers. The aperture ring is de-clicked for smooth, silent iris pulls during a take, and focus and T-stop markings appear on both sides of the barrel for easy reading from either side of the camera.
