Used Rokinon 8mm T3.8 Cine UMC Fisheye CS II Lens for Canon EF
The Rokinon 8mm T3.8 Cine UMC Fisheye CS II is a cinema-oriented ultra-wide fisheye prime lens for Canon EF mount cameras, developed primarily for film and video production. Compatible with APS-C-sized sensors, it delivers a 12.8mm full-frame equivalent focal length and a dramatic 180° angle of view, making it well suited to architectural interiors, action cinematography, special effects work, and any scene calling for an exaggerated, immersive perspective. The cine version distinguishes itself from Rokinon's stills-oriented 8mm fisheye lenses with industry-standard gearing on both the focus and aperture rings, purpose-built for follow focus and iris motor systems on professional video rigs.
The optical formula consists of 10 elements in 7 groups, including one hybrid aspherical element to reduce chromatic aberration and distortion for sharper, cleaner imagery. UMC (Ultra Multi-Coating) is applied across the lens elements to minimize flare and ghosting, and the aperture ring has been de-clicked for smooth, silent iris pulls during recording. The aperture and focus scales are relocated to the side of the lens barrel for easier reading by a focus puller during production, and internal focusing keeps the front element from rotating as focus is adjusted. The lens reaches a 0.3m minimum focus distance, and its fixed, integrated lens hood protects the pronounced bulbous front element, which does not accept standard screw-in filters.
