Used Sigma 135mm f/1.4 DG Art Lens for Sony E
The Sigma 135mm f/1.4 DG Art is a full-frame telephoto prime for Sony E-mount cameras, holding the distinction of being the world's first autofocus 135mm lens to reach an f/1.4 maximum aperture. Designed primarily for portrait, lifestyle, and product photography, the lens produces exceptionally large, natural bokeh that Sigma positions above its own 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art "Bokeh Master" and on par with the substantially larger 200mm f/2 DG OS Sports. The natural 135mm perspective and moderate working distance, combined with the depth and dimensionality of the f/1.4 aperture, give portraits a rendering distinct from more common 135mm f/1.8 options.
The optical formula consists of 17 elements in 13 groups, including 4 FLD (F Low Dispersion) elements and 2 aspherical elements to suppress chromatic aberration and maintain sharpness from f/1.4 through the full aperture range. A 13-blade rounded diaphragm minimizes vignetting and color bleeding at the edges of the frame even wide open, and Sigma's HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) motor drives fast, precise autofocus with minimal focus breathing for video use. Physical controls include an assignable AFL button, a focus mode switch, and an aperture ring with a lock switch and a click/declick option for smooth exposure changes during video recording. The lens carries dust and splash-resistant construction along with a water- and oil-repellent coating on the front element, and a removable Arca-type tripod socket is included to help manage the lens's substantial weight.
