The Sigma 50mm f/1.2 DG DN Art is a native Leica L mount prime designed specifically for full-frame mirrorless systems, offering one of the widest available apertures in its class for L mount shooters. Built around Sigma's Art line philosophy of optical excellence, it's well-suited for portrait photographers, event shooters, and anyone who prioritizes maximum light gathering and shallow depth of field on bodies like the Leica SL2, Panasonic S5 II, or Sigma fp series.
The 50mm f/1.2 DG DN features a 17-element, 15-group optical design with multiple aspherical and SLD glass elements to control aberrations at wide apertures. It includes a linear AF motor for fast, quiet autofocus, a physical aperture ring with a de-click option for video work, and an AFL button for customizable focus control. The all-metal build and weather-sealed construction make it a durable option for professional use in the field.
