Used Voightlander APO-Lanthar 35mm f/2 Asph Lens for Sony E
The Voigtlander APO-Lanthar 35mm f/2 Aspherical is a full-frame manual focus wide-angle prime for Sony E-mount cameras, part of Voigtlander's APO-Lanthar series of apochromatic lenses. The apochromatic design works to bring the focal points of the three primary RGB wavelengths into close convergence, effectively eliminating on-axis chromatic aberration and delivering high contrast and color fidelity across the frame. Built by Cosina in Japan, the lens communicates EXIF data to the camera body and supports Sony's 5-axis in-body stabilization, manual focus assist, and auto lens correction on compatible bodies.
The optical formula uses 11 elements in 9 groups incorporating two double-sided aspherical elements and five anomalous partial dispersion elements, with a floating elements system that maintains consistent image quality throughout the focusing range from 35cm to infinity. A 12-blade diaphragm produces circular aperture openings at f/2, f/2.8, f/5.6, and f/16 for smooth, rounded bokeh from point light sources. The Selective Aperture Control System allows the clicked aperture ring to be switched to stepless, de-clicked operation for smooth, silent iris pulls during video. The all-metal barrel with precision helicoid gives the lens a well-damped, high-quality focus feel throughout its travel.
