Join us and filmmaker Chris Hershman in this exclusive weekend of video production from start to finish. The boot camp begins with a lecture with Chris where he will share his unique journey through the visual arts; starting from independent music videos and live concert photography all the way to global marketing campaigns for international companies.
Then continue with a full day filmmaking demonstration where you can explore the creative process of making a music video. A featured musician will perform live while Chris demonstrates set-ups and camera techniques to create the most engaging visuals. Then the weekend wraps with an Editing and Post Production lecture. This weekend is perfect for you to learn everything you need to succeed as a filmmaker.
As a part of our Tamron Takeover Weekend, Jonathan Thorpe is teaching a lecture and offering a shooting experience that will guide you on how to create photos that looks more produced and cinematic through the use of light and different lens choices to add drama to and set the mood of each photo.
Tell Your Visual Story Through Light
During the lecture portion of this western-themed visual storytelling class, you will learn how to harness light to bring your photos to life. The shooting experience offers the opportunity to go to Buggy Barn Museum to have fun with light! You'll look at the western landscape in color and B&W and will work with western models making them part of the landscape and then photograph western stars.
Layers of Beauty in Local Parks
From macro photos of insects, telephoto images of birds, to creative photos of the botanicals, grab your camera and join Nikon Ambassador and member of the International League of Conservation Photographers, Kristi Odom, for a hands-on experience photographing wildlife not too far from home, at Mayfield Park.
We’ll host a Friday evening lecture in the Precision Camera classroom and then take an exclusive group of photographers to Mayfield Park for a unique shooting experience the following Saturday morning.
