This Canon RF-mount professional broadcast lens features native Super 35-format coverage and full-frame coverage when used with the built-in 1.5x extender. A compact, relatively lightweight design suits this lens for a variety of productions, including tripod or car rig/aerial mounting.
40 to 1200mm Focal Length
This lens covers an extensive 40 to 1200mm focal range while featuring a T5.0 to T10.8 aperture from wide to telephoto. Using the built-in 1.5x extender with 30x optical zoom, the range extends to an impressive 60-1800mm. Like the rest of its cine lens family, the zoom lens creates a soft, pleasing bokeh using an 11-blade iris and a clickless iris ring.
Advanced Servo Drive Unit
The advanced servo drive unit supports Focus Breathing Compensation, helping to maintain your frame parameters even while racking focus. This drive offers ARIA and ALAC communication protocols via its 12-pin connector, and with the EOS C400 camera only, it provides Auto-Exposure Ramping Compensation. This Canon RF-mount model also supports Dual-Pixel CMOS AF II and Focus Guide technology, passing metadata to your camera. The servo drive is removable for cine-style shooting, and it can also be integrated into studio systems with its 16-bit metadata output.
