The simple, lightweight Sony ECM-GZ1M Zoom Microphone connects to applicable Sony video and DSLR systems that have a Multi-Interface Shoe. The microphone is powered and controlled in-camera. Designed to isolate the sound you want and reduce the ambient noise the you don't want. As a monaural microphone, this mic has two functions - gun and zoom. Gun mod locks the microphone in a fixed pick-up pattern, and the zoom mode dynamically adjusts the pick-up pattern in relation to how much you zoom in - making the pick-up angle narrower as you zoom closer.
