The 7Artisans 50mm T2 is a manual cinema lens designed for videographers and hybrid shooters who want a cinematic look without a cinema-sized budget. With its standard 50mm field of view and fast T2 aperture, it's well-suited for narrative filmmaking, documentary work, and any shooting situation where smooth, consistent manual focus pulls are a priority. Its Sony E mount compatibility makes it a natural fit for mirrorless cameras like the Sony FX30, FX3, a7 series, and ZV-E1.
This lens features a clickless aperture ring for seamless in-camera exposure transitions and a 0.8 mod gear on both the focus and aperture rings, allowing direct integration with follow focus systems and lens motors. The all-metal housing provides a solid, consistent feel across a matched set of 7Artisans cine primes. Minimum focus distance is approximately 0.5m, and the lens covers a full imaging circle suitable for APS-C sensors, with some usability on full-frame depending on aperture.
