The 7Artisans 50mm T1.05 Vision is an APS-C cinema prime for mirrorless cameras, part of the 7Artisans Vision cine lens series alongside the 25mm and 35mm T1.05 focal lengths. The series is designed with matched sizing and standardized focus and iris gear positions across all three lenses, meaning follow focus units and iris motors can remain in place during lens swaps — a practical workflow advantage when operating from a kit. At T1.05, the lens offers substantial low-light capability and shallow depth of field on APS-C sensors, delivering a 75mm equivalent angle of view on Sony APS-C bodies.
The optical formula uses 7 elements in 5 groups with ED glass elements for chromatic aberration control, housed in an all-metal barrel. The de-clicked aperture ring operates smoothly for silent iris pulls during video, and the 270° focus throw allows precise manual focus control with follow focus systems. The 90mm front diameter is compatible with a wide range of professional matte boxes, and the 82mm front filter thread accepts standard filters directly. Focus and iris scales are marked in both feet and meters on dual sides of the lens barrel.
