Used Bronica PS 50mm f/3.5 Lens
The Bronica Zenzanon-PS 50mm f/3.5 is a wide-angle prime lens designed for the Bronica SQ system of medium format 6×6 SLR cameras. Equivalent to roughly 28–30mm in 35mm terms, it's a natural choice for photographers working in landscape, architecture, journalism, or any situation where a broader field of view is needed without sacrificing medium format quality. Its compact, all-metal build integrates seamlessly with the SQ-A, SQ-Ai, and SQ-B bodies, and its leaf shutter design allows full flash sync at all shutter speeds up to 1/500 sec.
The PS 50 features a 10-element, 8-group optical formula with multi-layer anti-reflection coating, delivering strong contrast, accurate color rendition, and notably low distortion for a wide-angle design. Aperture adjusts in half-stop increments down to f/22, and the lens focuses as close as 0.5m (about 19.7 inches). As a second-generation PS-series lens, it represents an improvement over the earlier S-series in both optical performance and build refinement, making it a versatile workhorse for film shooters working with the Bronica SQ system.
