Used Global Dynamics United 24mm f/2.8 for Canon EF

The Global Dynamics United (GDU) 24mm f/2.8 is an electronic-only cine prime built for Super 35 and APS-C format Canon EF-mount cinema cameras and DSLRs. Designed specifically for demanding production environments, it uses a Canon 24mm f/2.8 optical block rehoused in a mil-spec 7075 aluminum housing with a stainless steel EF mount, resulting in a lens that weighs just 0.40 lbs while offering significant durability. It is optimized for use with RED cameras including the KOMODO 6K, Canon APS-C DSLRs, and other cameras with electronic EF mounts.

Focus and iris are controlled exclusively through the camera's electronic communication — there are no external manual rings, which eliminates accidental focus pulls in run-and-gun and gimbal-heavy workflows. An STM stepping motor delivers smooth, near-silent autofocus suited to both stills and video. The 6-element, 5-group optical design includes an aspherical element and anti-reflective coating to minimize ghosting and flare. A 37mm UV filter is inset within a 46mm non-threaded protective front ridge, and seven iris blades contribute to smooth background rendering at wider apertures.
