Used Pentax 135mm f/3.5 Super-Takumar M42 Lens
The Asahi Pentax Super-Takumar 135mm f/3.5 is a manual focus telephoto prime produced in the late 1960s and early 1970s for M42 screw mount cameras. At 135mm, it serves as a capable short telephoto for portraiture, compressed landscapes, and subject isolation, and its M42 mount makes it widely adaptable to modern mirrorless systems via inexpensive third-party adapters. The all-metal construction and compact form factor make it a practical choice for photographers drawn to vintage glass on contemporary bodies.
This is the later Model 2 iteration of the Super-Takumar 135mm f/3.5, featuring a 4-element optical design and single-layer coating. It covers the full 35mm format, focuses as close as 4.9 ft (1.5m), and includes a 6-blade diaphragm with an Auto/Manual aperture switch for compatibility with stop-down metering bodies. The coarse-knurl focus and aperture rings are characteristic of this production run, and the lens accepts standard 49mm filters shared across many Takumar primes.
