Used Rokinon 21mm f/1.4 Lens for Sony E
The Rokinon 21mm f/1.4 ED AS UMC CS is a fast, wide-angle manual focus prime lens for APS-C Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, delivering a 31.5mm full-frame equivalent focal length. Introduced in 2015 alongside the 50mm f/1.2 AS UMC CS, it was one of Samyang/Rokinon's earlier purpose-built mirrorless lenses and remains a popular choice for landscape, architecture, and astrophotography where both a wide field of view and strong low-light performance matter.
The optical formula consists of 8 elements in 7 groups, including one ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) element and three aspherical elements to control chromatic aberration and distortion across the frame. Ultra Multi-Coating (UMC) is applied to all elements to reduce flare and ghosting, and a 9-blade rounded diaphragm supports smooth bokeh at the f/1.4 maximum aperture. The lens is fully manual with no electronic contacts and a non-rotating front element, reaching a 0.3m minimum focus distance. At approximately 290g, it remains compact and lightweight relative to comparable full-frame fast wide-angle primes.
