Used Rokinon 50mm T1.5 DSX Lens for Sony E
The Rokinon 50mm T1.5 Cine DSX is a full-frame manual focus cinema prime for Sony E-mount cameras, part of Rokinon's Cine DSX series alongside 24mm, 35mm, 85mm, and 135mm focal lengths. The DSX series improves on the original Cine DS lineup with weather-sealed lens mounts, a 9-blade rounded aperture diaphragm for smoother bokeh, and a refined matte black finish. Standardized focus and iris gear positions are shared across all DSX focal lengths and are fully compatible with the earlier Cine DS series, meaning existing follow focus and iris motor setups require no adjustment when swapping between lenses from either series.
The optical formula consists of 9 elements in 6 groups incorporating one aspherical and one hybrid aspherical element for aberration control, with Ultra Multi-Coating (UMC) to minimize flare and ghosting. The de-clicked aperture ring enables smooth, silent iris pulls, and dual-sided T-stop and focus distance scales in feet and meters are readable from both sides of the lens barrel. At 576g and 100.7mm in length, it is a compact full-frame T1.5 prime suited for handheld, gimbal, and traditional cinema rig configurations. On APS-C Sony bodies the effective focal length is 75mm equivalent.
