Used Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Leica L
The Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary is a wide-angle prime lens built for APS-C Leica L-mount cameras, offering a 24mm equivalent focal length. Its bright f/1.4 maximum aperture works well in low-light conditions and gives some added control over depth of field for selective focus.
The optical design uses 16 elements in 13 groups, including three FLD elements, two SLD elements, and two aspherical elements, to help control chromatic aberration and other distortions. Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting for better contrast and color fidelity in strong light, and a stepping AF motor delivers quick, quiet, and smooth focusing suited to both photo and video work. A 9-blade rounded diaphragm contributes to smooth background blur, and the mount is dust- and splash-resistant.
