Used Viltrox 85mm f/1.8 STM Lens for FUJIFILM X
The Viltrox 85mm f/1.8 STM is a short-telephoto portrait prime built natively for Fujifilm X-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras. Offering a 127.5mm full-frame equivalent focal length and a bright f/1.8 maximum aperture, it's a strong choice for portrait, event, and low-light photography. The all-metal construction and native X-mount communication give it a feel and feature set that integrates well with the Fujifilm X system — including EXIF data, PDAF support, focus peaking, and in-body image stabilization compatibility — at a fraction of the cost of comparable native glass.
Optically, the lens uses a 10-element, 7-group design that includes one ED element and four high-transparency elements to control chromatic aberration and maintain contrast across the frame. An HD Nano multi-layer coating reduces flare and ghosting, while the STM stepping motor delivers quick, quiet autofocus well-suited to both stills and video. A 9-blade rounded aperture diaphragm produces smooth, circular bokeh, and the electronically controlled aperture adjusts from f/1.8 to f/16 in-camera. A micro-USB port on the mount allows for firmware updates, helping keep the lens compatible with future Fujifilm X bodies.
