Westcott L120-B Overview
Delivering consistent performance and color accuracy, the L120-B Bi-Color LED Monolight from Westcott expands the L series with 120W of power. The L120-B provides variable color, light intensity, AC or optional battery power, and onboard/app control options for maximum flexibility. It allows users to quickly switch between different color temperatures, offering a bright output of up to 23,900 lux at 3.3' when equipped with the included 45° ultra reflector. Brighter than the previous L60-B, the L120-B has a slightly bigger yet still very compact body. A valuable feature of the unit is its build quality, backed by a metal housing that withstands rigorous use. With a lightweight and highly portable form factor of 2.63 lb, the fixture is suitable for both studio and location work. Well-suited for interviews, short films, and other types of video shoots, the L120-B doesn't require heavy ballasts or complicated control methods.
Adjustable CCT with High Color Accuracy
Featuring consistent brightness across its 2700 to 6500K CCT range, plus advanced color accuracy with CRI/TLCI/SSI scores of 98, 99, and 92, the L120-B is also flicker-free at any frame rate up to 4000 fps and dimmable from 1 to 100%.
9 Practical Lighting Effects
Choose from an array of customizable creative lighting effects, such as lightning, fire, TV, faulty bulb, pulse, paparazzi, headlights, SOS, and emergency lights.
LCD & App Control
- Make quick adjustments locally or from your smartphone using the Westcott StudioLink app for iOS and Android. The app facilitates wireless control of multiple L-series lights and firmware updates.
- On the rear of the unit is a highly legible LCD screen for monitoring the parameters of the light, including intensity and color temperature; it is flanked by intuitive control dials.
AC or Optional Battery Power
- The L120-B is ready for worldwide use thanks to its included AC adapter and cable.
- To meet the demands of field shoots, the light will also run on 14.4/14.8V D-Tap batteries.
- Works with the separately available MV95 V-mount battery using an optional D-Tap to 2-pin locking cable.
Silent Fan Cooling
The fan cooling system offers a silent mode at 30% brightness to help you achieve complete silence, avoiding disturbance during video shoots.
Bowens Mount for Wide Compatibility
A Bowens front accessory mount allows using a wide range of optional modifiers. Westcott includes a dedicated Bowens insert for compatibility with their separately available Rapid Box Switch softboxes.
Precise Positioning
The fixture's metal tilting bracket features a 5/8" receiver and rotates 360° for easy positioning when mounted to a separately available light stand. The bracket also has an umbrella mount to expand your light-shaping possibilities.
Included Accessories
Along with a removable tilting bracket, the fixture includes a 45° ultra reflector, a protective COB cover, and a convenient travel bag for storage and easy transportation.
