Built for full-length coverage on any shoot, the white and black Westcott V-Flat offers photographers, filmmakers, and creators a durable, more portable alternative to traditional V-flats. Two 41 x 84" sides open to 82 x 84" for use as a freestanding background or soft/negative fill source. A collapsible aluminum frame ensures lasting reliability, while the included washable black and white fabrics allow an instant switch between blocking and bouncing light. Westcott delivers a portable and professional light control system that be easily assembled and taken anywhere. The Westcott V-Flat's collapsible design packs down into the included carry case, making it travel-ready without compromising performance.
White & Black Options
Stack the white fabric over the black one or use them individually. The swappable surfaces are easily adaptable to different lighting needs. Swap between white and black without the hassle and use the Westcott V-Flat as a background, a negative fill source, or book light.
Bounce & Shape Light with Precision
Use the included white fabric to bounce light onto your subject to create soft, flattering fill that reduces harsh shadows . You can also fold the two sides into a book light configuration and bounce light directly into it for soft, even illumination across your subject or background. Achieve a classic setup for beauty, fashion, and interviews.
Block, Shape & Flag Light with Precision
Opt for the included black fabric to absorb light, deepen shadows, and sculpt faces with contrast and dimension. You can also flag stray light on video sets, cut spill from a second source, or block a window on location. The black fabric is ideal to add negative fill and control spill.
Freestanding Background
The Westcott V-Flat stands independently to improve positioning when used as a freestanding backdrop or wall, which allows you to quickly separate your subject from a busy or unflattering environment.
Collapsible Aluminum Frame
The included aluminum frame is designed for durability, as well as easy teardown and transportation. Adjust it from 15 to 180° to better shape the light without moving your main source. Another highlight is magnetic support feet with rubber base to keep the sides stable throughout the entire session.
Reusable Fabric
Westcott's V-Flat fabrics are conveniently stretchable and machine washable. Do not worry about warping, chipping, or denting.

Easy Cleaning
- Wipe the frame with an optional damp cloth.
- Wash the fabrics in cold water on your machine's gentle cycle.
- Tumble dry on low heat.
- Secure the hook-and-loop fasteners before washing, storing, or transporting.
