Used Nikon Nikkor 20mm f/3.5 AI-S Lens for Nikon F
The Nikkor 20mm f/3.5 AI-S is a compact manual focus ultra-wide prime for the Nikon F mount, giving a 94° angle of view on full-frame. It was introduced in 1981 and weighs only about 232g with a 52mm filter thread, which keeps it small and light for a 20mm. It suits landscapes, architecture, and interiors.
The optical design uses 11 elements in 8 groups and keeps coma well controlled, a common weakness in ultra-wide designs. A 7-blade diaphragm controls exposure, and the focus ring needs only a short 72° turn to go from infinity to 1 foot. The wide depth of field makes it easy to shoot quickly without focusing, the AI-S indexing works with AI-S-compatible Nikon bodies, and it accepts the HK-6 hood and the TC-201 and TC-14A teleconverters. Mounted in reverse on a bellows, it can also be used for high-magnification macro work.
