Used Voigtlander Nokton 21mm f/1.4 Aspherical Lens for Sony E
The Voigtlander Nokton 21mm f/1.4 Aspherical is a full-frame ultra-wide manual focus prime for Sony E-mount cameras, purpose-built and optically optimized for Sony's mirrorless sensor stack. At 21mm and f/1.4, it covers a 90.8° angle of view with a maximum aperture that enables shallow depth of field and subject separation at focal lengths where most lenses require stopping down considerably. On APS-C Sony bodies the effective angle of view is equivalent to a 31.5mm lens. Built by Cosina in Japan, the lens communicates EXIF data to the camera body and supports Sony's 5-axis in-body stabilization, manual focus assist, and auto lens correction on compatible bodies.
The optical formula uses 13 elements in 11 groups incorporating two aspherical elements at the front and rear of the design, three partial dispersion elements, and a floating elements system that maintains consistent image quality throughout the focusing range from 25cm to infinity. A 12-blade diaphragm produces smooth, rounded bokeh, and the Selective Aperture Control System allows the clicked aperture ring — operating in 1/3-stop increments — to be switched to stepless, de-clicked operation for video use. The all-metal barrel is finished with the precision and damping typical of Voigtlander's E-mount lineup, and a reversible petal-shaped lens hood is included.
