Used Nikon Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/4 AI-S Lens
The Nikon Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/4 AI-S is a manual focus telephoto macro lens built for the Nikon F mount. It reaches 1:2 reproduction on its own, and the PN-11 extension tube takes it to a full 1:1. The 105mm focal length also leaves a comfortable working distance, which helps when you're shooting small subjects like insects or setting up lighting for product and still-life work.
The AI-S indexing meters properly on AI-compatible Nikon bodies, and the front element doesn't rotate during focusing, so a polarizer stays where you set it. The all-metal barrel has a long built-in hood and a long focus throw for fine adjustments, and the AI-S version adds a focus lock screw. Optics are 5 elements in 3 groups with a 7-blade diaphragm. It can also be mounted on mirrorless cameras through third-party adapters, where focus peaking makes the manual ring easy to work with.
