Used PC-Nikkor 35mm f/2.8 Lens
The PC-Nikkor 35mm f/2.8 is a manual focus perspective control (shift) lens for the early Nikon F mount, introduced in 1968. Shifting the lens off-axis by up to 11mm keeps vertical lines parallel in architecture and interiors without tilting the camera, and the whole lens rotates 360°, so the shift can be applied vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
The optical design uses 8 elements in 7 groups with a 9-blade preset diaphragm, so you set the aperture and stop down by hand. It focuses as close as 1 foot and takes 52mm filters. As a non-AI lens with meter prongs, it needs manual metering at the zero-shift position, since the metering gets thrown off as you shift, and it can’t be mounted on later AI-coupled bodies or most Nikon DSLRs, with the Df as the exception. With an adapter it works well on mirrorless cameras, where shifting is handy for stitched panoramas and architectural work.
