Used Zoom-Nikkor ED 50-300mm f/4.5 AI-S Lens for Nikon F
The Zoom-Nikkor ED 50-300mm f/4.5 AI-S is a manual focus telephoto zoom for the Nikon F mount, covering a 6x range from a normal 50mm to a long 300mm with the same f/4.5 maximum aperture the whole way. The constant aperture means your exposure settings don’t change as you zoom, which suits sports, wildlife, and photojournalism-style work.
The optical design uses 15 elements in 11 groups with ED glass, and separate zoom and focus rings keep the lens balanced while you zoom. A tripod collar rotates a full 360° with click-stops every 90° for quick horizontal and vertical switches, the front takes 95mm filters, and the lens accepts the HK-5 hood and the TC-201 and TC-14A teleconverters. It’s an all-metal build at about 4.3 pounds, with a 7-blade diaphragm and close focusing to 8.2 feet.
